We are currently seeking candidates for the following position:

Job Title: Billing Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description:

  • Scrutinize, accept, and record medical bills daily in appropriate ledgers.
  • Provide regular updates and present bills to in-patients daily.
  • Prepare and dispatch retainers’ medical bills in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Ensure timely preparation and presentation of private patients’ bills for settlement.
  • Package and submit bills to clients’ designated addresses.
  • Respond to inquiries about medical bills, offering explanations as required.
  • Verify vetted bills to ensure no arbitrary discounts.
  • Visit Corporate Clients upon invitation to defend and accept vetted bills for settlement.
  • Ensure bills to Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) comply with regulatory standards to avoid sanctions.
  • Obtain and attach necessary authorization for claims, including approval codes and referral forms.
  • Scrutinize and confirm the eligibility of claims from outsourced vendors.
  • Review medical bills prepared by front desk officers for completeness and correctness.
  • Report daily work schedule accomplishments to the Accounts Payable Officer.

Job Qualifications:

  • HND/B.Sc in Accounting
  • Experience: 2 – 3 years
  • Must have completed NYSC

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as an Administrative Officer, Administrator, or similar role.
  • Solid knowledge of office procedures.
  • Experience with office management software like MS Office (specifically MS Excel and MS Word).
  • Understanding of human resource/personnel activities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
