Community Tester Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct HIV Testing Services (HTS) using efficient testing approaches, including risk assessment tools, ICT-elicited contacts, and geomapping for hotspot testing.
  2. Document the usage and consumption of all RTKs appropriately in provided tools.
  3. Record all provided services with age and sex disaggregation.
  4. Report testing data on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  5. Ensure individualized or generalized pre- and post-test counseling for all clients with age-disaggregated reporting in source documents.
  6. Promptly link identified positive clients to care within 48 to 72 hours.
  7. Deploy community case managers to other LGAs with high burdens and unmet needs.
  8. Perform other assigned responsibilities as required by supervisors.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of experience in HTS, adherence counseling, and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, antibody testing, PrEP and PEP, community mobilization, and advocacy.
  • Skill/experience in providing individualized and group HIV health education, testing, and counseling.
  • Minimum of SSCE; OND/BSc will be an added advantage.
