Adexen has been entrusted by a prominent Oil & Gas entity to enlist a seasoned professional for their operations, occupying the following position:

Job Title: Site Procurement and Contracts Manager – Expatriate

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Employment Type: Full time

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee procurement processes for the Plant, ensuring efficient and timely acquisitions.
  2. Manage contract-related activities, including negotiation and administration.
  3. Collaborate with the Head of Procurement in Abuja to align strategies and standards.
  4. Ensure adherence to procurement policies, industry regulations, and utilization of SAP.
  5. Support Operations in achieving excellence in contract management.
  6. Develop and implement procurement strategies, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
  7. Manage budgets, assess and select suppliers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes.
  8. Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and consultants, ensuring favorable terms in terms of pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and procurement best practices. Stay informed about Nigerian import regulations, customs procedures, financing instruments, and other relevant regulations.
  10. Manage procurement budgets, control costs, monitor expenditures, and optimize processes to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  11. Develop and implement supplier evaluation criteria based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and other relevant factors. Conduct tendering processes and select suppliers meeting the Group’s requirements.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and contract management in the oil and gas sector.
  • Previous experience in a similar senior role within a large organization is essential.
  • Significant experience in the Nigerian market is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP and other relevant procurement tools.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
