Responsibilities:
- Oversee procurement processes for the Plant, ensuring efficient and timely acquisitions.
- Manage contract-related activities, including negotiation and administration.
- Collaborate with the Head of Procurement in Abuja to align strategies and standards.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, industry regulations, and utilization of SAP.
- Support Operations in achieving excellence in contract management.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
- Manage budgets, assess and select suppliers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes.
- Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and consultants, ensuring favorable terms in terms of pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and procurement best practices. Stay informed about Nigerian import regulations, customs procedures, financing instruments, and other relevant regulations.
- Manage procurement budgets, control costs, monitor expenditures, and optimize processes to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Develop and implement supplier evaluation criteria based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and other relevant factors. Conduct tendering processes and select suppliers meeting the Group’s requirements.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Relevant degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement and contract management in the oil and gas sector.
- Previous experience in a similar senior role within a large organization is essential.
- Significant experience in the Nigerian market is a plus.
- Familiarity with SAP and other relevant procurement tools.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
